The one thing I am passionate about...
Most passionate about? My daughter. How to teach her to value her time, her health, her LIFE. How to travel, meet people, embrace cultural differences. How to learn, enjoy and bring joy to people. To take advantage of every opportunity and make something of her life wonderful every day. She's the best reason I have for smiling all the time.
I typically spend my leisure time
With my daughter. We'll play, go swimming, read. Keeping her happy and occupied is what I love. If I have some true "down time" I try to see yet another movie I didn't get to see in the theater, which is almost all of them.
The most influential person in my life has been
Passion. In all senses. Passion for politics, music, travel, communication. Passion to go forward in their lives, to learn, to want more. Passion in life - in enjoying everything, the good and the bad.
The first thing people notice about me
My attitude. I look people directly in the eye, shake hands firmly, speak my mind clearly. I also embrace fiercly, hug quickly and ask questions all the time.
The last book I read and enjoyed
The Memory Keeper's Daughter. It's beautifully written and quite sad, but so very worth the time. It's about a Down's Syndrome child and everyone who is in her life and how they are affected by her.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- My health. Without that, what is really possible?
- My daughter, who keeps me grounded and in the clouds simultaneously.
- My family, all the "nuts" in the family tree aside.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
I can't answer that question. Everyone notices different things. Mostly we're all judged on our appearance anyway. The "book & cover" scenario.
Friends Describe me as
Caring, Funny, Intelligent, Loyal
A little more about me
I'm a romantic, loving, strong woman. I would appreciate the same from a man.
