More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am most passionate about passion. I thrive on affection, with family but especially my intimate connection. Something else I'm really into is singing. I was in 3 chorus/ensemble groups in school and 2 choirs in the Houston area. I come from a musically inclined family and you can always catch me singing, especially on my commute - it's the best deterrent to road rage!

I typically spend my leisure time

On many days, I stop at the gym on my way home from work, but on weekends I prefer to get my exercise by walking in the Arlington/DC area. In the evening I like to try the unique, ethnic restaurants, go to a movie (I'm quite a movie-holic), live theater or concert; or simply stay at home with friends, cook a meal and "hang out." Not that this is necessarily a leisure-time activity, but I value my time on Sunday mornings at church service where I renew my spirituality.

The most influential person in my life has been

I am looking for an affectionate, physically demonstrative man with a good sense of humor; one who is spiritual, easy going and doesn't take himself too seriously.

The first thing people notice about me

People probably notice my ready smile, quick wit, energy and enthusiasm.

The last book I read and enjoyed

A book that has had a big effect on my life recently is Joel Osteen's "Your Best Life Now." His words have given me optimism about the potential for happinesss and fulfillment.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. my close ties with family & friends
  2. my good health and good quality of life
  3. my strong faith that every day begins with limitless possibilities

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

Casual friends don't know how creative and original I can be. I love to write silly poems (my long-suffering friends and relatives tolerate my homemade greeting cards admirably) and paraphrase song lyrics in humorous ways.

Friends Describe me as

Affectionate, Creative, Energetic, Spiritual

A little more about me

I am an optimist; a glass-half-full kind of gal. I am thankful for all the good in my life, and look forward to each new day and its possibilities. I have adopted the philosophy that you can't move forward if you're looking back.
