More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

helping people in need. Something I truly believe in is helping those that are injured, ill, or sometimes those who just need someone to listen. Working in nursing, I've learned what's important to me. Or at least one thing that is. I enjoy and want to be someone that makes a difference in someone's life everyday. My career is based around healing the sick, I intend on volunteering at Boston Children's Hospital, and starting my own thing (can't decide on a name) where I plant all kinds of ifferent flowers on my property, and make arrangements out of them when grown. Then bring them to Brigham and Women's.

I typically spend my leisure time

relaxing or adventuring. I like to both go find an adventure and sit at home. I'll jump in my car and get lost on purpose, but I'd just as soon order Chinese and binge Netflix.I also love going and finding something to eat that I've never had before. Trying odd and new foods is so fun. I also have a usual watering hole that I may bring you to if you ask.

The most influential person in my life has been

would be someone as caring as me. Someone that has similar dreams, and would one day want a family. Someone that wants to be adventurous and explore the world with me. Someone that is able to both take care of themselves and other people. Selfish doesn't go very far in my book. I always try to be there for people. Even if I have my own issues at that time.

The first thing people notice about me

usually the scrubs. But in all seriousness, people notice different things. Sometimes they notice how friendly I am. My determination. My work-ethic. Sometimes a Boston accent. Don't ask me to say it, either. Honestly, I don't spend a lot of time paying attention to what people first notice. I'm too busy improving everyday. Trying to be the best me possible. If people like what they see from that..great. But Joe Shmoe's opinion matters only so much at the end of the day, right? It's people much closer than that, that matter.

The last book I read and enjoyed

well, this will probably be the one that get a headscratch, but it was a book about a surgeon in the early 1800's that was one of the biggest innovators in medicine. He completely revolutionized the way patients were treated in the US, by studying in Paris (the French were important innovators in medicine) and seeing advances there. He was also the man who made ether popular to anesthetize patients for surgery. Among many other things.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. Family
  2. Medical
  3. Life
