More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Learning about new cultures, food, languages, science and technology, dance... you get the idea. Travel, particularly internationally - I'd love to travel the world with someone. Nature, be it in the mountains, by the sea, or my local park. Environmentally and socially responsible business. Martial arts, particularly when I'm learning from someone who truly understands and appreciates the balance of mind, body and spirit. Meeting new and interesting people who enrich my life and broaden my perspective.

I typically spend my leisure time

Cooking and enjoying drinks with good friends on my roof deck. Exploring new art exhibits. Getting lost in the city. Outdoor adrenaline pumping activities. And that barely scratches the surface. I have far more interests than I could cover here, as you'll get to know.

The most influential person in my life has been

Perhaps it's a little cliche, but I want to be with someone genuine and sincere. And you have to love to laugh.

The first thing people notice about me

I sometimes have a bit of an accent that no one can quite place, even though I'm technically originally from Cleveland. I lived overseas for a number of years so I suppose that's why.

The last book I read and enjoyed

A Thousand Splendid Suns.. You've probably heard of it. It explores the life of an Afghani girl through the years and gives you a glimpse into Afghanistan that you'll never get through popular media. Beautifully written.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. Family and friends I love dearly.
  2. The many opportunities I have had to learn, to explore the world and to continue pursuing my dreams.
  3. Life

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I can be quite silly and playful.

Friends Describe me as

Dependable, Good listener, Outgoing, Warm

A little more about me

I was raised bilingual, lived in Japan for eight years and speak four languages. Alright, I guess my Spanish could use some work, but four sounds better than three and a half.
