More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Today people are often passionate about too many things rather than truly caring about some ideals. A passion should be something that you are willing to make sacrifices for even if it means going out of your comfort zone. My passion is helping others, especially through my work with Habitat for Humanity. I have worked with Habitat for over 11 years. Now, I dont especially like to be sweaty or dirty, and I definitely do not like getting up at 5:30 AM for 11 Saturdays. However, I know that the work we do makes a difference for the family and changes their lives, and I want to do my little bit to help make the world a little better.

I typically spend my leisure time

My leisure time activities - reading, volunteering and pursuing creative endeavors such as photography and video production - and what I am passionate about are often connected. My reading taste might be defined as eclectic. Also, reading often acts as inspiration for the creative side of the activities I enjoy. My family encouraged my brother and me to be involved in helping others, and I have been a volunteer in various organizations since I was a teenager.

The most influential person in my life has been

Openness or honesty between individulas is one of the most important qualities in any relationship. Without it there is no trust and without trust it is not possible to build a strong relationship foundation.

The first thing people notice about me

I tend to be quiet and reserved around people I have just met.

The last book I read and enjoyed

I read many types of books, but most often I read science fiction because so much of it is fiction today but perhaps tomorrow... The classic science fiction of the 50's and 60's has become the technology of today (cell phones, computers, the Internet).

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. Family. Because they are always there to support me.
  2. Faith. Because it gets me through the rough times.
  3. The talents and gifts I have been given and the chance to use them to help others.

Friends Describe me as

Caring, Creative, Intelligent, Loyal
