The one thing I am passionate about...
I am especially passionate about my family, my daughter and those I love, as well as my work and my other interests that keep be balanced and fit. I have a special passion for traveling and experiencing different cultures. My home is also important and I strive to keep it comfortable and restful, especially my garden. It is my everyday retreat. I am very passionate about finding and pursuing a healthy, intimate relationship with an exceptional man.
I typically spend my leisure time
I like to spend my leisure time cooking and enjoying a good meal with friends and family, reading, being physically active, breathing in the sunshine, working out in the gym, bicycling, spending time on the Berkeley campus with my 23 year old daughter (Go Bears!), walking my dog, gardening, and traveling whenever I have the opportunity to.
The most influential person in my life has been
I am looking for a man who is emotionally and physically healthy that I can count on to be supportive of me and our relationship. He must be my best friend, affectionate, gentle and kind, with a wonderful sense of humor. And please, be a man of integrity who enjoys living life to its fullest and appreciates all it has to offer.
The first thing people notice about me
I've often been told that I'm an interesting woman with an easy going demeanor who is fun to be with. My friends appreciate the fact that I can be counted on for support and understanding during the tough times; and laughs and giggles during the good times.
The last book I read and enjoyed
I just finished reading "Atonement" by Ian McEwan. I was intrigued by the novel and was touched by its themes of love and war, childhood imagination and adult motives, and guilt and forgiveness. I just started reading "A Thousand Splendid Suns" by Khaled Hosseini (the author of "The Kite Runner"). It's a novel that chronicles three decades of Afghan history, the struggles to survive in that part of the world, family, love, and an unlikely friendship.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- I am especially thankful for my family and friends and the special relationships we share.
- I am grateful for my good health and never take it for granted.
- I am thankful to be alive and for all the good fortune I've experienced.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
My serious nature is just as developed as my fun-loving sense of humor.
Friends Describe me as
