More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Music... the stories behind the songs. I pull a lot of inspiration from the feel of a song. Though I can't say that there is any one genre of music that matches me at all times, each type (whether jazz or rap, christian contemporary, pop or country) fits me and shapes me in most every aspect of my life.

I typically spend my leisure time

I've started hiking mild to moderate trails recently with a group from my church - just getting away from the city and being able to reconnect with creation refreshes me. Art -because it is open to interpretation, specifically post-modern. And oddly enough, cleaning and organizing - believe me, my place is in no means perfectly clean, but I do enjoy creating order out of clutter...it's oddly rewarding to me.

The most influential person in my life has been

I am looking for someone who is tired of the games that people play (cliche, I know...but the sentiment remains). Someone who has a heart for God but hasn't lived a sheltered existance, who remains relevant to the world as it currently is - broken and messed up. There has to be an understanding that there is beauty in the ashes and healing from brokeness.

The first thing people notice about me

That I am easy-going. I don't put a lot of weight on being the center of attention but rather on making every interaction count on some level.

The last book I read and enjoyed

Shine by the Newsboys (yes, its a book, not just the name of a cd album).. it's about how the events of ours lives are ALL used by God to shape who we are and what He can do crazy situations that we may not understand at the time.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My childhood - its shaped me more than anything else could have
  2. That God's blessings are renewed everyday
  3. Unlimited text messaging

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

That even though I have the tendancy to be quiet and reserved that I still know how to cut loose and have a really great time (for example: karaoke...I'm one of the rare ones that willingly admit to LIKING karaoke even while completely sober!)

Friends Describe me as

Creative, Dependable, Funny, Hard Working

A little more about me

Additional information shouldn't be something that is tagged on to the end of a profile.. its something that should be learned and gleaned through actual interaction between two people.
