More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am passionate about social justice, preservation of environment, self-awareness, nature, outdoors, sports (ski, racquetball, hiking, biking, soccer, tennis), life-long learning, literature, and exploring. Psychology and physics are two subjects of great fascination to me and I am also good at both.

I typically spend my leisure time

Sports from strenuous (soccer, racquetball, climbing, Skiing), to moderate (waking, hiking, swimming,..) -- Entertaining friends, Traveling, Reading.

The most influential person in my life has been

The qualities I am looking for in another person are those I subscribe to myself: A person with a broad spectrum of interests, curious to know and to learn, thoughtful yet active, sociable but with privacy, a good listener and companion yet ready for carefree playful time, dependable yet independent, caring about others yet taking good care of herself, intelligent but not cold and calculated.

The first thing people notice about me

That I am clever & approach everything rationally.

The last book I read and enjoyed

The last book I finished was Eckhard Tolle's "The Power of Now". The book is about the "voice in your head" that constantly keeps you engaged either in the past or in the future and distracts you from "Now". Tolle argues that ones' whole life unravels in the now and neither the past or the future really exist. It's a thought provoking and helpful book in realizing that too much engagement in the future brings about anxiety & worry, and excessive preoccupation with the past brings about melancholy and illusions about the good-old-times.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. I am thankful for being healthy and active
  2. I am thankful for the gift of intelligence and abundance in my life
  3. I am forunate for having select people, true friends and family, whom I trust & cherish

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

People at first see my diplomatic cautious approach and assume that I always keep everything to myself. Once they get to know me, they find out that I am willing to talk and open up on any subject, even those too close for comfort, for many.

Friends Describe me as

Dependable, Intelligent, Loyal, Rational

A little more about me

I am looking for someone that I can be a friend with first and foremost. If love happens as a result, then it will be indeed heaven on earth. The rare gem of nourishing mind, body, and soul.
