More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I want to experience an enduring relationship with someone that I am emotionally, physically and intellectually attracted to and who feels the same about me.I am about spending time with my children and being there for the important events in their lives. I am passionate about the basic human values represented in my paternal family and passing those values on to my children by example. I am about living a useful, productive life and sharing it with someone that can be described as a lover, a friend, and a true life partner.I am passionatly against the useless deaths of young people caused by politically motivated wars and hate.

I typically spend my leisure time

I enjoy taking care of my home and yard and am an accomplished handyman. I love to play golf and have high interest in sports in general. I truly enjoy winter vacations to tropical locations and summer vacations with my extended family at the beach. Day to day, I play my guitar and sing, have a scotch and conversation with friends, get caught up on the news and a few favorite TV shows, listen to music and read. I would really enjoy sharing all these things with someone special.

The most influential person in my life has been

Kindness and love of life.

The first thing people notice about me

That I am socially oriented and love good interesting conversations with intelligent people who love life.

The last book I read and enjoyed

"The Audacity of Hope" by Barack Obama It was Obama's reflections about his life, what lead him to political activism and his perspectives on America's future and its role in the world. I share much of his perspectives and respect him as a person and am inspired by his vision.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My adult children's independence, determination, popularity and goodness
  2. That I come from a large family whose members all care and love each other
  3. That I live in a diverse culture and am free to live as I choose

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

That I am sensitive to others reactions to me.

Friends Describe me as

A little more about me
