More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I believe that life is a blessing not to be squandered. There are so many adventures to be had and lessons to learn, so I try to use my time well. I enjoy physical challenges, creative pursuits like art and music, and spending time visiting with friends. Eventually, I want to find love, start a family, and experience life growing together... though on the family part, not for a few years. All together, I'm a very happy person: I like my job and fill the rest of my time with friends and activities I enjoy.

I typically spend my leisure time

I enjoy all sorts of activities. I like getting exercise doing things like riding bikes, skiing, and hiking. I always like to be outside as much as possible when the weather is nice. Also, I enjoy exploring my creative side, playing guitar and piano, spinning clay into pottery, and painting pictures. I also love traveling, experiencing both the wonders of nature and of human creation.

The most influential person in my life has been

I'm looking for someone who is open-minded and enjoys different types of activities. I love discussing politics, public policy, and music, so interest in those things is a big plus.

The first thing people notice about me

First, my easy-going nature. Also, I can be pretty sarcastic, though at first, I'm usually more polite.

The last book I read and enjoyed

Naked - by David Sedaris. It's roughly an autobiography, with plenty of hyperbole, humor, and cleverness. I thoroughly enjoyed it, chuckling my way though. Few books can get me laughing aloud, and Sedaris does so while using the humor to show human nature from an interesting perspective. I especially loved the way he described some of the people he met.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. Friends and Family
  2. Our Planet
  3. Music

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I really enjoy talking to people one-on-one at parties and other gatherings. However, in big circles with other more talkative people, I usually stay kinda quiet, especially if I don't know most of the people.

Friends Describe me as

Creative, Easy-Going, Funny, Intelligent

A little more about me

I love cooking for my friends. Also, I have to spend a fair amount of time studying for actuarial exams (for my job).
