More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I'm passionate about seeing beauty in art and nature. I'm fortunate to swim regularly in the Sea of Cortez.I am an educated goofball. I read. I cook (really well). I crave the company of someone who shares my perspective: humbling awe at the beauty of nature peppered with a playful sense of the absurd as we look around us.I'm always attracted to intelligent and interesting conversation. I appreciate a broad frame of reference, and believe that laughter is massage for the soul. Are you a modern renaissance man who knows the difference between their & theyre; someone with emotional bandwidth AND the ability to do a good spit take?

I typically spend my leisure time

Im so lucky to be in Cabo San Lucas being at the beach with friends or having a chance to be on the water is always a great day. Taking a deep breath of gratitude at sunset before the evening begins. I love the European habit of strolling after sunset (we have our marina) and a late dinner.I love to entertain picnics or small dinners for friends.I read daily Google news to keep informed, and a constant supply of intelligent or clever mysteries. Love Robt. Crais, Robt. B. Parker, Elmore Leonard and Carl Hiassen.

The most influential person in my life has been

Someone who is deep but light-hearted - who enjoys life as much as possible every day.

The first thing people notice about me

I'm smart, but don't take myself too seriously. As an American living in Mexico, I have lots of opportunity to exercise my sense of humor and my appreciation of the surreal.

The last book I read and enjoyed

Just re-read 'Memoirs of a Geisha', which is very tender and gives an insight into a refined world that is very different from the way modern women live. Imagine being so trained to the aesthetic that when you sit, you automatically, without thinking, arrange your robes into a flower around you. Interesting to have been written by an American man who is a scholar of Japanese culture

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. health and the energy/vitality to enjoy life as an adventure
  2. the breathtaking beauty in nature around me - mountains, sky and ocean
  3. even tho' I'm peaceful alone, I treasure loving relationships with family and friends

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I'm more shy than I might appear.

Friends Describe me as

Affectionate, Funny, Intelligent, Optimistic

A little more about me

I believe it takes time to develop trust.
