The one thing I am passionate about...
I am passionate about spending quality time with my family--especially my grand kids. Christmas is important to me in this aspect since thats about the only time we are able to get together. I am very passionate about snow skiing! The only reason I even bother taking care of myself physically during the off-season is to be in shape to enjoy the next ski season. During the ski season, if Im not with my daughter and grand babies, Im skiing at the local ski area, or Im getting ready to go skiing!
I typically spend my leisure time
I most enjoy my leisure time: with my favorite daughter/grand babies, family members, and snow skiing; in that order. [OK, if its a, Powder Day at the Lee Canyon, my daughter knows that I probably will not visit with her and the grand babies that day!]I very much enjoy my leisure time alone and schedule my Quiet Time. I listen to smooth jazz, read, chill out while sipping wine with scented candles burning, and working on my PC (i.e. paying bills online, email, computer maintenance, etc., and filling out endless online surveys like this one!)
The most influential person in my life has been
Connectivity: connecting emotionally, spiritually, and physically that makes it enjoyable to spend time with her.
The first thing people notice about me
I must make eye contact when speaking to someone. Seems to bother some people, maybe makes me see too intense? I need the visual feedback. People that know me know that I am not all intense and serious; dont take me or life too seriously.
The last book I read and enjoyed
The Effective Executive, by Peter F. Drucker, Copy Right by him in 1966. Surprised that everything in this 42 year old book is applicable to the modern work force.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- My Grand kids!
- My job: People I work with and what we do.
- My health.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
I am American & a native Nevadan. I'm "stereo-Typed" as "Hispanic-American, Hispanic-Latino, Mexican-American (In California), and Cuban-American (Only in Florida)." I learned to speak Spanish [and other languages] in school like everyone else.
Friends Describe me as
Funny, Genuine, Happy, Intelligent
A little more about me
Not a real clothes horse, dont know how to dress. Wear jeans and shirt with collar and breast pocket to work, and if not working, wear what I refer to as my, Off duty uniform, shorts and shirts with lots of pockets. [HINT: My sister-in-law helps me dress so I don't look like such a bum!!!]
