The one thing I am passionate about...
I try to be passionate about experiencing life and enjoying it to the fullest. I have been blessed with having had a number of creative jobs so it's been "find a job you love and you never have to work a day in your life" for me. I like to experience new things and try to be open to just about anything. I like to think that the whole world (and it's experiences) wouldn't be out there if I weren't meant to see and do (in a non arrogant sort of way).
I typically spend my leisure time
I enjoy most outdoor activities, specifically hiking, biking, blading, etc.. I recently took up rowing and quite enjoy it as a complete workout, placed in a phenomenal setting. I have yet to tip over, however I still paddle with my training wheels (pontoons) on.I love to read and enjoy new music. While I enjoy live music I've become more content to stay at home and listen to something new, or watch a movie and...because I need to keep busy (and creative), I knit. Cooking for others is also a joy of mine. I enjoy the challenge of new and often different recipes.
The most influential person in my life has been
Just one? Well, I believe honesty - with themselves and others - is very important. I find people who are honest with themselves are content, even admist struggle, confusion and turmoil. I also look for someone who has a sense of humor (but not a clown) and a curious, open nature.
The first thing people notice about me
That I try to engage them, without being meddlesome. I ask questions and try to learn about a person, engage them in conversation. That I'm open and easy to talk to.
The last book I read and enjoyed
I'm in the middle of "Time-Travellers Wife". It's about a time traveller (duh) who jumps back and forth in time throughout the life of a woman (who eventually becomes his wife), but he doesn't always know or recognize her. I enjoy the concept of time travel and this book also brings into factor the mental and emotional reprecussions as well.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- The safety, freedom and opportunities we have in North America.
- My friends - who still put up with me when I'm at my worst.
- The opportunites and experiences I've had in the past, and look forward to in the future.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
Despite the fact that I'm quite outgoing, I'm actually a bit shy and insecure (but then, aren't we all).
Friends Describe me as
Creative, Genuine, Good listener, Outgoing
A little more about me
