More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am strongly passionate about maintaining and enhancing the emotional bonds that I share with a select group of family and friends. Being rational is the mental characteristic I value most. I consider it important to have an open mind and to let reason and evidence inform my beliefs, not dogma. I have a strong inclination to be a politically and philosophically informed person. I love creativity and improvisation, especially in music.

I typically spend my leisure time

In my spare time, I enjoy reading and hanging out with friends. In the warmer months, I love to go home to surf and hang out at the beach. I also like to spend time riding my bike, watching movies, and (sometimes) playing golf.

The first thing people notice about me

That I am very easygoing.

The last book I read and enjoyed

The Conservative Soul: How We Lost It and How to Get It Back by Andrew SullivanI'm a civil libertarian, so (for the most part) I tend to agree with democrats on most issues. They're the ones that have taken our liberties most seriously. That being said, Andrew Sullivan's book gets to the bottom of true conservatism, very convincingly showing how Republicans have long not adhered to their core philosophy. I walked away convinced that a healthy dose of this redefined version of conservatism is essential to a sound politic.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. The understanding of my family.
  2. Having more than five best friends.
  3. Always being aware of how fortunate I am.
