The one thing I am passionate about...
I'm passionate about a lot of things, from the people in my life to the things I enjoy doing. Friendships, shared experiences, and companionship are extremely important but so are the smaller passions: hiking, camping, reading, a motorcycle ride, watching a scary movie, and ice cream :) I love to travel as well - new sights and experiences can totally shape (or re-shape) ones perspective.
I typically spend my leisure time
I enjoy spending time outdoors when I can, hiking in particular. I have a motorcycle and while not a lifestyle for me I enjoy a nice ride. I should qualify this with the fact that as I am not obese, hairy, and smelly, this isn't a Harley ;) I read, keep a clean house, enjoy movies and even video games (alright, so I'm still younger than my years offer up). I like company - close company that I can share with, talk to, get to know even better, and spend unpressured time with. I don't have a lot of local friends to share with due to my moves, clearly one thing I enjoy but am missing.
The most influential person in my life has been
Someone who holds many of the same basic values - in short, that family and how one lives their life is most important.
The first thing people notice about me
I hope I come off as happy, positive . . . and charming!
The last book I read and enjoyed
Do magazines suffice? Too many plane trips lately, but I'm now starting House of Leaves. What is a horror/romance? I don't know, but I plan to find out :) But since I said magazines, I'll let it out now: I read National Geographic cover to cover, every month. Maybe I should have kept that for the next question? I'm totally cooler that, but I can't fully suppress the nerd in me. Don't be scared -
The three things which I am most thankful for
- My life experiences gained through moving, friendships, and my job
- The people that I share my life with, day in and day out
- My daughters
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
I can be 'the entertainer' with my friends, but as I can be a little reserved or shy at first, this may not come to the surface upon the first meeting.
Friends Describe me as
Affectionate, Funny, Generous, Good listener
A little more about me
I have two daughters, 11 and 9, that live with their Mom most of the time. While it's important that someone want to be part of their lives and vice versa, I'm not looking for someone to have to BE a Mom. While they are SO important to me, I want to spend the next 30-40 years with someone by my side. I understand some of the potential challenges, maybe better than most, and will work it with the right person so my children, my partner, and I can all enjoy the relationship.
