The one thing I am passionate about...
I am passionate about my affiliations. I love sports, admit it. My week can be ruined by poor results from my teams. But that is not all I affiliate myself with many things non-sports related. I lived in Spain and am passionate about that country and culture. I am passionate about the spanish languag. I am passionate about politics. I am very liberal but not condesecending or close minded. Your opinion is less important to me than the fact that you have an opinion. I am passionate about learning through experience. I feel that the best way to learn by trying. Sometimes you may fail but that is okay.
I typically spend my leisure time
I thrive on human interaction. I hate e-mail because to me it seem impersonal, if you can't meet me somewhere at least call me. I love going to social events, I need to be around others to be happy. i love meeting strangers and conversing with them. We all have different experiences, why not learn from eacother? I love competition, hate losing but can handle it, and am gracious in victory. Competition for me can be board games, sports, recreational activites, etc. (as long as the activity's outcome isn't predicated entirely on luck.
The most influential person in my life has been
Honesty and communication, i know thats two...for me though they go hand in hand. I am not always great about communication, especially about things hat are bothering me. I need someone who can bring out the issues I'm confronting and listen. I am a great listener but not great at expressing my problems bacause I don't want to burden people with issues I would gladly help them with.
The first thing people notice about me
My open nature. There is very little i keep secret. One could argue I am too honest with people. I have nothing to hide, and am not ashamed of anything that I have done. I guess I figure if someone does not approve then its a good thing I was open so we would not have to waste our time.
The last book I read and enjoyed
Well I really only read non-fiction. The last book I read is "Cartas Desde el Infierno" (Letters from Hell). It is a collection of poems by Ramon Sampedro whose life was depicted in the 2004 Oscar winning Spanish Film "Mar Adentro", (The Sea Inside. Ramon Sampedro was a quadrapelegic that fought for years to leagilize euthanasia and wrote the book with a pen taped to a wooden spoon held in his mouth. I loved it because of the honesty and emotion in the words. As someone so thankful for life, (see above), I learned a lot from someone who didn't want his.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- My family, they are the largest influence in my life.
- My experiences, I have had tremendous opportunities to see the world.
- My life, just the fact I am here and can do....fill in the blank. The opportunity to live and choose, maybe free will is a better description.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
That I am not all fun and games. When people first meet me I am generally the life of the party or at least enjoying my fair share of it. What people dont realize is that i am that way a social gatherings because otherwise I am so pensive and contemplative that those rare chances I have to unwind I make the best of and live to th fullest.
Friends Describe me as
Funny, Intelligent, Kind, Respectful
A little more about me
Just that I am an honest and open book, ask and I will tell you. I hope for the same in return.
