More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am passionate about living a healthy lifestyle. For me personally, this means following a plant-based diet (i.e. vegetarianism) and exercising regularly (several times per week). I love vegan cooking and participating in community events related to vegetarianism. Sailing (sailboats) is a life long passion I have had since childhood. I sail regularly on Narragansett Bay in Rhode Island on a 19 ft. Cape Dory typhoon that is in the family. Sailing is just about my most favorite thing to do, and I do have some cruising and racing experience. I also like creative writing (mainly poetry).

I typically spend my leisure time

In my spare time, I enjoy sailing, kayaking, going to the beach, and excursions in nature (i.e. hiking, walking outdoors in all seasons). I attend Trinity Rep Theater in Providence on a regular basis. I also enjoy cooking (veggies and grains) and reading.

The most influential person in my life has been

Honesty and respect for women are key. Strong communication skills are critical also. Please be consistently passionate about some of your interests and your life.

The first thing people notice about me

People generally notice that I am extremely organized, resourceful and very adept at problem solving.

The last book I read and enjoyed

I have not done much reading for pleasure recently, however, I did pull one of my favorite books off my shelf a few weeks ago to read a few chapters. It is called, "First You Have to Row A Little Boat." Author Richard Bode is inspiring and spins a story about life being analagous to sailing a boat.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. my intuitive skills.
  2. my wonderful family (of origin).
  3. being shown a spiritual path.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

This is a funny question. I am really not sure how to answer it. I'm not generally an "attention seeker."

Friends Describe me as

Caring, Hard Working, Perceptive, Spiritual

A little more about me

I'm looking for a life partnership, not a casual or short-term relationship. Also, my nickname is "Beacon" aka "Bea," in keeping with my nautical theme.ADDITIONAL NOTE: I am liberal minded. Also, open to platonic long-term friendship if that is the most appropriate course.
