The one thing I am passionate about...
I am passionate about the opportunities and challenges life presents each day. The problems that confront all humans are blessings in disguise and a necessary component for growth. All pain, grief and disappointments are merely stepping stones to a higher existence. If one is not passionate about facing challenges that will surely occur each day, then life becomes an existence rather than a journey. More concretely, I am passionate about the exploration of human existence and the meaning of life on earth. My interest are varied and include golf, stock market, exercise, travel, wine, philosophy, religions, writing, and growth courses.
I typically spend my leisure time
I actually enjoy studying the economy and developing a skill set necessary to be a successful investor in the wealth of our country. I enjoy reading for information but not for pleasure. I attempt to spend some of my available time each day working out by jogging or lifting weights. I am an ex-athlete and still enjoy competing in amateur golf events. I also spend as much of my spare time as possible with my thirty-five year old son. I have no grand children but love kids. My clinical work has been mostly with young children. I am also that apparently rare male than likes shopping.
The most influential person in my life has been
A person who is respectful of others; who loves herself but without narcissism; who is well schooled in social graces and understands protocol; who is playful and light hearted; and one who appreciates a Renaissance man.
The first thing people notice about me
My command of the language and impeccable manners.
The last book I read and enjoyed
The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle. The theme of the book suggest we leave our analytical mind and false sense of self behind by living in the present moment. Most of us, including me, live in the past or ruminate about a future we can't control. In the process we miss the beauty of the present moment. It is about gathering rose buds if you get the abstraction.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- Great health;physical attractiveness; and athletic ability
- Good intellectual abilities and a desire to continuously grow into a better person
- God's blessings and a compasionate soul
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
My sensitivity and soft heart!
Friends Describe me as
Good listener, Intelligent, Physically Fit, Thoughtful
A little more about me
I would like for all who read this to know I am a strong believer in doing the right thing. I have a moral compass and internal strength to get me through most difficult situations. I believe that work and protracted effort produces results. I feel that I have much to offer another person because I am well rounded and not one dimensional.
