More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Keeping order in my life. Stay more balanced with my time and staying on top of things so I can help people when I can. Being reliable and dependable. Helping others. Cooking and baking, sewing and crocheting, cross-stitch and embroidery. Going to flea markets and finding the best deals. Finding the best price for things that are needed. Always being accountable for all my actions and behavior. I've lost 2 husbands and never left their sides. I want that passion back in my life. I want to love again.

I typically spend my leisure time

I enjoy playing my 12 string guitar and singing. I love to make things, sewing, crocheting, cross stitch. I enjoy cooking and baking and doing household chores. I love to quilt and share with others.I love to go to rags to riches stores and find a bargain. I enjoy finding antiques and refinishing them. To see the real beauty down under the build up. Almost like a rebirth. I love to watch the sunsets and the sunrises. Walks on beaches, and swinging. I enjoy dancing and having quiet time with a special someone.

The most influential person in my life has been

Caring, considerate, affectionate, appreciative for the little things in life. Don't take life so serious and just enjoy being who you are. No pretenses. Positive and fun to be with.

The first thing people notice about me

My personality is very outgoing and friendly. I always make people feel better for some reason. I always have a smile just in case someone doesn't and I can give them mine. I've got a good heart.

The last book I read and enjoyed

The last book was "Purpose Driven Life" yet it isn't at the top of my list of favorites. "Balcony People" and Og Mandino's "Greatest Salesman in the World" touched my heart like no other book I've read. Teaches you to be the balcony people in someones life, not one to pull them down. We are all each the greatest salesman in the world, because we are all special.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. I am most thankful for my children, grandchildren and all my family and friends and God in my life.
  2. I am thankful for my caring heart and commom sense
  3. I am thankful for all the talents God has given me.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I have a lot of talents that I don't brag about and not everyone knows about them. I love to sing and play my guitar or a little on a piano. I have other instruments that I have played, I enjoy a game of cards now and then yet I can be very comfortable being at home and relaxing and doing nothing at all. I don't have to always go 90 miles an hour like people think.

Friends Describe me as

Affectionate, Caring, Hard Working, Thoughtful

A little more about me

Life is fragile and I've been beside two husbands that lost their lives. One knew he was dying and I can't tell you what an impact that had on my heart for I couldn't do anything to save him from his cancer. The other just passed away last October after being in a nursing home for over a year following brain surgery and never recovering enough to come home. My Mother lived with us and she went into the hospital the month after my husband, Nov.2007, and passed away before Thanksgiving. I felt my world had ended. I spent the next year at the nursing home making each moment count, it took it's toll on me for sure. I did what I needed to.
