More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I have no shortage of passion - but the top of the list would have to be working to ensure people have an opportunity to succeed. On a less cliche note, I also really like good food, fine wine, and cheap beer (oh, crap was that another cliche?)

I typically spend my leisure time

I tend to be active in causes and politics that I care about. Beyond that, I really enjoy hosting friends. Whether that be for a dinner party, a big bar night, a DVD, or just to watch a favorite TV show - it is all a great time to me. I am a huge fan of trying new restaurants and probably could be called a bit of a "foodie" though not in that snobby or even super adventurous kind of way (no grasshoppers for example). I also love sports - I'd be happy at a little league game or something in a giant stadium with thousands. And finally, I just love being creative and laughing with others - regardless of where.

The most influential person in my life has been

A good sense of humor that is genuine and not there to mask insecurity. I don't necessarily mean a big jokester (but that would rock) but at least someone who really likes to laugh.

The first thing people notice about me

That I tend to be really mischievous.

The last book I read and enjoyed

I just reread To Kill a Mockingbird on a whim. It is a deeply beautiful story that is unique in how simple and clear it is. I think we all should reread books they made us read in school as kids ... I liked this one then, but only appreciate its greatness now.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. An increasingly emotionally close (and fun) relationship with my family.
  2. A small group of very good friends who I can be vulnerable, goofy, fun, and myself around.
  3. Opportunities to achieve and surpass my personal career goals.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

That I'm actually a pretty serious person who is passionate about his family, friends, and career. I just want to have a lot of fun along the way.
