More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

interesting discussions

I typically spend my leisure time

reading, seeing friends, playing guitar

The most influential person in my life has been

I like people of all stripes, but for a possible mate: fit, confident, small, low-maintenance, funny, bold.

The first thing people notice about me

The last book I read and enjoyed

"In Transition: How Feminism, Sexual Liberation, And The Search For Self-fulfillment Have Altered America," by Judith Bardwick. Written in 1979 as an academic text, I doubt that it was widely read, which seems a shame, for it is very insightful into the human condition. The author was a psychology professor at the time, and weaves details of her own eperiences into her arguements very effectively, which warms the tone.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. my friends
  2. my house
  3. the New Yorker

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I've always felt that people have formed an incorrect first impression of me- not necessarily a bad one, just not who I am. It's not the end of the world- we usually straighten it out quickly enough. It would help if I cared less.

Friends Describe me as

Funny, Good listener, Perceptive, Physically Fit

A little more about me

I have an unusual life. For six months of the year, I shower outside. I have way too many potted plants. I don't run the air conditioner. Making people laugh is what I like the most.
