More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Healthy living, active lifestyle. Taking pleasure in the simple things in life.

I typically spend my leisure time

Biking, outdoor activities, sailing, camping, photography. I'm usually outdoors if the weather cooperates. If it does, in a typical day I might bike the canal, then head home to shower and change for dinner with a few friends at a hole-in-the-wall restaurant with great food. Of course, I'd rather be sailing. When the temperture dips I might just be in the kitchen experimenting or whipping up one of my "They call me the Soup Lady" specials. I might even pop in a DVD or two.

The most influential person in my life has been

Open Honesty, Emotionally and finacially stable, Someone who is happy with their own life, Someone active who enjoys the outdoors, Someone who wants to experience new adventures in life and loves to travel and explore new places.

The first thing people notice about me

My bubblicious personality - and the wicked twinkle in my eye

The last book I read and enjoyed

I can generally read several books at once. Different genres, so depending on my mood that will be the book I will pick up. When I am in the mood for fiction I enjoy John Irving. Any classic will do. The Biographies of Eleanor of Aquitaine, Beryl Markham, etc. At times I will more or less "chain" books together such as reading "Out of Africa", followed by the writings of another writer, [Beryl Markham, Elspeth Huxley] relating tales of Africa during the British colonial period. Ayn Rand and Henry David Thoreau both ticked me off. Its easy to be an elitist when you have means at ready disposal.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My Children
  2. My Health
  3. My life

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

That I am a very approachable person

Friends Describe me as

Creative, Funny, Intelligent, Spontaneous

A little more about me

I prefer picking trail spice from a campfire meal dressed to the 2's in hiking boots and jeans over blowing the dust off my heels and I can spot a Saab Sonnet on the road yet cant find my keys in the house.
