The one thing I am passionate about...
I love to learn new things, which lends itself well to my professional interests where education and discovery are integral to success. Beyond this rather general passion, it is also very important to me that I am a good person. I am constantly attempting to positively impact those around me, especially those with who I am close. Being a good friend ranks high upon my list as I believe a good measure of our character is how well we treat those we socialize with.
I typically spend my leisure time
During my leisure time I like to get together with friends and do something fun. Often that can be playing a game of tennis, hitting a local bar to shoot a game of pool, heading to the movies, walking around town, or even just hitting the gym. For me it generally isn't so important what I am doing so long as I enjoy the company of the people I am with.
The most influential person in my life has been
Kindness is a key feature I look for as it speaks volumes about another persons character. It is afterall very easy to be friendly when there is something in it for you... but when I see someone act with true care and compassion for someone whom they have no vested interest in, I am very impressed. As odd as it may sound I truly feel that this quality tends to be more scarce than intelligence... put them both together and you've really found someone worth learning more about.
The first thing people notice about me
That I enjoy conversation and tend to have a unique perspective. I've never really looked at the world in the same way most people do, but ultimately that offers great potential for sharing thoughts and ideas as when two people think in exactly the same way there isn't much to discuss.
The last book I read and enjoyed
The last book I read was "Schrodinger's Ball" which is the first book I have read that I literally could not put down. It is difficult to describe what it is about as the plot is VERY strange but it ultimately revolves around a close group of four friends who are going through a transitional period in their lives... one in particular is killed off at the beginning of the novel but continues on as an interactive character until his dead body is discovered (like I said... the plot is strange). I suppose what I like most about it is how clever and funny the author is, the whole book is increadible.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- People I am close with (This way I do not use up two spots for family and friends)
- Free Time
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
That it usually takes a little while for me to get completely comfortable with someone, and while I am generally friendly, I also tend to be reserved until I know them better.
Friends Describe me as
Genuine, Intelligent, Kind, Rational
A little more about me
I enjoy meeting and learning about people, many times their views on the world (while potentially different than my own) serve to enrich my own outlook. If you want to see a photo feel free to ask.
