More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I'm passionate about learning new things and broadening my horizons. I'm particularly passionate about creative pursuits. A few years ago, I taught myself how to create a website (now I own 4 domains), and taught myself how to use PhotoShop to design my own graphics. I've also taught myself how to cook and how to knit. I'm infinitely curious, and I'm always eager to learn anything that anyone's willing to teach me; whether it's automobile maintainance, how to lay tile, how to beat egg whites to stiff peaks, or how to kill the boss guy on Mario. My belief is that everyone has something that they can teach, and I want to learn it all.

I typically spend my leisure time

I like to read, take long walks, go shopping, play video/computer games, draw, play poker, and spend quality time with my friends and family.

The most influential person in my life has been

I'm looking for someone who is thoughtful and kind and smart and funny and... well, I can't seem to narrow it down to one thing. I guess I'll have to go with "sense of humor."

The first thing people notice about me

I'm very shy. I'm likely to blush and giggle inappropriately when we meet.

The last book I read and enjoyed

I'm currently reading Fragile Things, by my favorite author, Neil Gaimen. I'm also a huge fan of Robin Hobb, Terry Pratchett, G.R.R. Martin, J.R.R. Tolkein, and all the other classics of the sci-fi/fantasy genre.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My friends and family - they've helped me get through some tough times this past year.
  2. My good health - working in the medical field gives me reason every day to appreciate how fortunate I really am.
  3. My financial security - I do well enough to afford what I need and much of what I want.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

My sense of humor. I tend to surprise people with my wit, but only after I've overcome my shyness enough to where I can really open up.

Friends Describe me as

Dependable, Intelligent, Sweet, Thoughtful

A little more about me

I love to bake; pies, cakes, cookies, anything sweet. I love to share with my friends, and have become pretty well-known among my coworkers for my Italian Cream Cake.
