The one thing I am passionate about...
I'm most passionate about . . . encouraging my family, being a good Christian, my doggie, & my self-improvement ideas. I am most passionate about finding everyone doing the right thing / what they are supposed to be doing. I have so very many interests, that I often feel more "scattered" than passionate. Not to say that I'm called "Sparky" for nothing! It's just harder to rack up accomplishments in my personal life than in my professional life. Yep. I think that sums it up. (Wish I was succinct! LOL)
I typically spend my leisure time
Please read what I am most passionate about. Generally, I want to spend the very large bulk of my time doing what makes me feel glad to be me. The things re: passionate plus gardening, indulging my doggie, vacationing, playing house (not doctor! you know - boring housekeeping ideas), camping, reading, organizing, cuddling, cooking, regular activities. I laugh most of the time. It's easy to do. When you are in the midst of a misadventure - you merely have to look at the situation from different ways until you find the funny one. :D (Like when Mom's car caught on fire on our way to their other house, during the hottest night of that year.)
The most influential person in my life has been
The man I am looking for needs to be willing to reassure me. I am very independent, but at key-times, Ive been known to bail b/c of a lack of reassurance. Speaking of my independence, I am completely comfortable being the president of the organization, but I am not looking for a vice president; I am looking for a Chairman of the Board (in my Grandmother's words). My acct here at eHarmony is expired. Please don't feel offended if I don't answer you. It's because I can't answer until the next free weekend.
The first thing people notice about me
I've been job hunting lately. So, people have actually been telling me what they notice about me. The most common answer is that they notice: the intensity of my energy toward getting along with others as well as getting things done.
The last book I read and enjoyed
Screwtape Letters (& Mere Christianity) <<< These are so "dead-on"! And I have really enjoyed the Harry Potter saga ~ not a fan of JKR (author) but definitely fond of Harry & the gang. I often re-read the Chronicles of Narnia. If you are looking for a delightful, fantasy short story, I really like "The Great Divorce". I also read PG-rated romances & books about various theories (body-energy, productivity, organization, etc.).
The three things which I am most thankful for
- my unique perspective (including the salvation Jesus gave me for eternity)
- the happiness, health, & safety of my loved ones
- my financial security (including my house & patio garden)
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
Even though I am forced to say, "No" or "slow down" to people frequently (I am an Accountant, after all!), I am really a very positive, optimistic person.
Friends Describe me as
Affectionate, Articulate, Modest, Sweet
A little more about me
I have strong ties to Southern California areas, having grown up there. And my parents live in San Diego now. I will probably relocate to somewhere closer to them this year. You might try to find me on GaiaOnline; I'm fthhplv. :D Oh yeah, and mine is the red toothbrush. I've used red since my Bugs Bunny electric one stopped working in '79 or so. So if you are Red also, then we will just have to think of some other way to distinguish ours.
