More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

My relationships with family and friends are very important to me. I am very concerned with social equity and justice and quality of life issues for those who are most marginalized in our society. Living modestly with a strong concern for the earth...how many resources I use, how much garbage I produce. I try to recognize the similarities I share with other instead of dwelling on the differences...breaking down the barriers that separate us from one another. Most importantly, I wrestle with my fears instead of running from them. Last but not least, I love art in all its many forms...film, theater, dance, paintings, photos, sculptures...

I typically spend my leisure time

I enjoy dinner with family friends and having good conversations. I appreciate artistic expression in all its many forms and exploring the arts with people I enjoy. Spending time with someone going for walks, bike riding, dancing, gardening...even exercising with a good partner.

The most influential person in my life has been

A person who is as honest as humanly possible and overall feels content with life.

The first thing people notice about me

People most often comment about how calm I appear to be...even in difficult situations.

The last book I read and enjoyed

One of my favorite reads over this past year was the Kite Runner...an introduction into another culture and a glimse at what holds relationships together despite the madness that is often a part of the human experience.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. my loving relationship with family and friends
  2. my employment which I enjoy very much
  3. the opportunities that life has given me

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

Because I tend to be accepting of others people often misinterpret that as my being a push-over, which I am anything but!

Friends Describe me as

Good listener, Hard Working, Kind, Perceptive

A little more about me

I want to take Latin dance lessons.
