More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I've never considered myself to be a passionate person, though there are things I feel strongly about. One of those things is loyalty and keeping faith with family, friends and even pets. Once you've made a commitment, whether to a spouse to be faithful, a friend to call them later, or just a pet you got from the pound, you follow through on that commitment. You don't cheat on your spouse, you don't neglect your friend, you don't abandon your pet on some rural highway. In short, once you've accepted a responsibility you follow through on it or you are a lesser person.

I typically spend my leisure time

I enjoy reading, especially reading science fiction, fantasy and horror. I've been a life-long reader and think I'd be lost without my books. I also enjoy movies and TV in those same categories. Mostly, though, I enjoy being able to share the things I enjoy with someone else who also enjoys those things and being able to discuss with someone else what we've read or seen.

The most influential person in my life has been

The first thing people notice about me

I wish I knew. I hope they notice that I'm intelligent and witty. ;)

The last book I read and enjoyed

Okay, I've read other books since this one, but since they were all re-reads they don't count. The last new book I read was "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" by J.K. Rowling, and if you don't have an idea what that was about you've been living under a rock - lol. I started reading the Harry Potter books because my child loved them, and I found them to be well worth reading. What I like best about the series is seeing Harry and his friends grow and mature as they struggle to understand and defeat the evil in their world.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. the love and dependability of my family and friends
  2. that the world is so filled with interesting places, animals, etc.
  3. my ability to laugh and enjoy silliness

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

That I am sensitive.

Friends Describe me as

Funny, Good listener, Kind, Loyal

A little more about me

You may think I'm strange, because I like bugs - I've always found them interesting, and many of them beautiful.
