More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

This is a question that seems to place limitations on ones passions.Being passionate about something today may or maynot be the same thing next month or next year. I think I'd prefer to define my passion as experiencing life in all the forms it takes--good,bad, and otherwise.

I typically spend my leisure time

1.Gardening 2.Theater/Music/Arts 3.Travel

The most influential person in my life has been

Communication skills, especially in resolving problems that arise. A good humor and even disposition. Mentally aware. Enjoy life, whatever form it may take. Basically a positive attitude. Considerate.

The first thing people notice about me

I really don't know what the first thing is, however I have been told that I have a very nice smile. I work with a friend who said I have a wonderful laugh--he called a "champagne"laugh. I am 5'nothing so I don't exactly stand out in a crowd.

The last book I read and enjoyed

During the past 2years I have moved twice, selling one home, moving to temoorary housing until I purchased another home. Therefore my leisure time has not really been leisure.I do however read professional journals,Consumer Reports,Kiplinger Newsletter, and womens magazines like Southern Living (I am a SOUTHERN WOMAN).I most recently took an interest in Dr.Wayne Dyer's book "Change Your Thoughts,Change Your Life". It's a 21st century take on the Tao Te Ching written 2500 years ago. It's one of those self-enlightening books.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. Family
  2. Health
  3. Independance

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I can't say that I've ever given this any thought. I generally try to dress for the occasion as well as be as prepared for whatever comes down the pike.

Friends Describe me as

Good listener, Hard Working, Respectful, Warm

A little more about me

I have been a single woman for 25 years. I successfully raised and educated my daughter without assistance. I was an officer in the National Guard, serving in a Mash Unit and did an interservice transfer to the Navy Reserve where I was attatched to a Fleet Hospital. Now that I have fulfilled my parenting responsibilities I am delighted to think there is still time for me.
