More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Family (mine and my partners), sharing new adventures, outdoor activities such as boating, camping, hiking, canoeing, enjoying simple things like sunsets and nature, love live music, Texas hill country, travel to anywhere, but especially beaches. Attend church every Sunday. Used to love to entertain but until recently I had too many family commitments to do it a lot. I love spontaneous things.

I typically spend my leisure time

I love to take off to a quaint small town for lunch and strolling around. I like history and architecture. Every once in a while I enjoy a home improvement project. I have a 1930's home and am remodeling slowly. My perfect day is a warm one spent on a lake either in a boat or jet skiing or just floating on a raft. Tubing rivers is a family favorite of mine. Give me a campfire anywhere and I will be happy.

The most influential person in my life has been

I want a guy that is sure of who he is and is comfortable with himself. I love a good sense of humor and someone who is outgoing, affectionate and a gentleman.

The first thing people notice about me

My personality. I am always smiling, upbeat and quick to reach out to new acquaintances.

The last book I read and enjoyed

Probably The Notebook and then The Wedding by Nicholas Sparks. My mother died from complications brought on by Alzheimer. My kids wouldn't let me near the book or movie until recently. They thought it would be upsetting, but you really learn how to laugh at everything in life dealing with this disease and to drain the good days for every drop of fun they have in them. The book really shows that.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My children. I thank God everyday for giving me such wonderful kids.
  2. That I had a loving, supportive family. I lost my parents and sister recently. I was so very fortunate to have had their love.
  3. That I have a peaceful life.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I wish they knew the spontaneous, outgoing, life's an adventure side just by looking at me.

Friends Describe me as

Energetic, Happy, Hard Working, Optimistic

A little more about me

I work hard at living an optimistic life that is based on character and integrity. I believe that you can have a blast everyday if you desire to. Family is very important to me and I desire that quality in someone to love.
