More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

My country; being truthful; being loyal; being a good person...being all I can be. Hmmm, that's more than one thing...

I typically spend my leisure time

Reading; watching movies, but would like to travel and go hiking and whitewater rafting

The most influential person in my life has been

The compatible woman: Mature, intelligent, even-tempered with maybe a quirky zest for life, willingness to try new things, willingness to compromise to get along, energetic, honest, realistic, unafraid to meet others... Ladies, please don't sweat Project Appleseed (which I am pictured as a volunteer for). It is a unique gun safety, marksmanship, and history/heritage program which is nationwide. In fact, each of you is cordially invited to attend; we are very pro-female. We encourage the women of this country to become instructors teaching your fellow Americans about a history they are ignorant of but upon hearing it, don't want to

The first thing people notice about me

Probably "nothing", as I tend to be a quiet person. But when I am not being quiet, I suspect the first thing they notice is that I am very clear-thinking and as a consequence sure of myself.

The last book I read and enjoyed

Robert Heinlein's "The Puppet Masters", Michael Crichton's "Prey", Stanley Weintraub's "Long Day's Journey Into War"; currently, Karen Armstrong's "A History of God", A Merritt's "Seven Footprints to Satan", and a dozen others...

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. health
  2. a good relationship
  3. my philosophy of life

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

That I am a teacher - and a good one! But, ladies, here's what your mother would notice, with all that finely honed perception that older women use when sizing up prospects for their young daughters: That I am a prize catch! A product of a time when people were raised to be sincere, respectful, and totally "are what they seem to be". You don't meet many of those anymore, so your mom, if she were here, would be urging you to "Get over there and meet him! Go on! Don't miss this opportunity!" Yep, she knows. And you can trust her!

Friends Describe me as

Energetic, Genuine, Intelligent, Passionate

A little more about me

I live a quiet life, and I'm not a party animal, for sure. Excitement for me is travel, and I sure intend to do more of it. I tend to be a one woman man - that's all I need, and all I want. Everything else is negotiable...
