More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I'm quite passionate about my job as a journalist. Helping to keep the community informed is very important to me. Sports are also a huge passion for me, especially University of Wisconsin athletics. I also enjoy reading and continually expanding my mind. There are always new ideas and new subjects to explore and never enough time to do it. I would much rather do things than have things. Life is about experiences, not possessions.

I typically spend my leisure time

I enjoy doing practically any number of different activities with friends. A normal night is likely spent watching sporting events on TV and/or reading.

The most influential person in my life has been

The most important quality I'm looking for is openness. I'm looking for someone who wants to share and is willing to listen.

The first thing people notice about me

I'm really not sure. I don't know if I have any specific characteristic that always jumps out to people.

The last book I read and enjoyed

I haven't updated this for awhile, but I just finished Dawkins' The God Delusion and The Lost Boy, a sequel to A Child Called It. Both were quite good. The second one was a nice quick read and a good change of pace from the more series books I usually read. It is a gruesome tale of a man's life as an abused child and growing up a foster child. It's amazing how cruel people can be.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My family
  2. My close friends
  3. My education

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

That I'm not really as shy as I may come off as.

Friends Describe me as

Caring, Genuine, Intelligent, Loyal

A little more about me

I'm heading to Hong Kong and China in a few months with my family to visit my sister who is a teacher in Hong Kong, so I decided to start to learn a Chinese dialect. Class starts soon, so wish me luck!
