The one thing I am passionate about...
Learning: Currently, I'm most passionate about medicine. I have worked very hard to get to this point in my life where I am now a resident physician. I have a lot to learn. I am focused on doing the best I can for my patients and learning as much as I can from them. Life-long learning is important to me whether it is about medicine, new people I meet, historical events or talking to a child to listen to what he/she has to say.
I typically spend my leisure time
I enjoy spending time outdoors whether I'm hiking, taking a walk with the dog or sitting by a creek listening to the sounds of the water, the wind blowing throught the trees and the birds singing.I enjoy traveling. Some of my favorite places I've visited are Iceland, Alaska, Prince Edward Island, Canada and Spain. I enjoy learning about different places, cultures and meeting new people.Sometimes, I just enjoy sitting on the couch reading a good book or watching a movie with a friend - dramas and comedies are my favorites.
The most influential person in my life has been
The ability to communicate openly and honestly is most important to me.
The first thing people notice about me
I'm always happy and smiling otherwise I'm asleep or studying. I have no idea if I smile in my sleep, but I'm almost positive I don't when I'm studying.
The last book I read and enjoyed
I always have a lot of books in the works. Just finished D Balcacci's The Collectors and Wild at Heart -Discovering the Secret of A Man's Soul by J Eldridge. Books in progress include Captivating - Unveiling the Mystery of a Woman's Soul by John & Staci Eldridge, Five Love Languages for Singles by G Chapman (Physical Touch & Acts of Service), Another Day in the Frontal Lobe by K Firlik, and Respectable Sins - Confronting the Sins We Tolerate by J Bridges (for my Bible Study). I like reading a variety of books for various reasons - interest in medicine, studying God's Word, learning more about myself and others, and just for entertainment.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- Family - even though we live spread across 4 east US states we are very close and get together several times a year.
- Friends - I have great friends that I enjoy spending time with.
- The opportunities that God has provided to me and the strength and perseverance to accomplish these things.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
Friends Describe me as
Caring, Easy-Going, Energetic, Optimistic
A little more about me
I am looking for someone who has good self esteem, sees the glass as half-full, believes in God, attends/participates in church activites, and also values and has a good relationship with their family.
