More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Striving each day to do better than the one before, serving my family and others, learning new things, developing talents, cooking.

I typically spend my leisure time

Entertaining - creating an environment where people can come together, enjoy each other's company, and build/strengthen relationships. Reading. Camping at Lake Powell (or anywhere away from crowds). Traveling (but not as part of an organized tour) - I like the adventure of meeting new people, seeing things off the beaten path, and finding "hidden treasures" like scenery, restaurants, and artwork.

The most influential person in my life has been

Someone who's willing to welcome another person into his life and then work together as a team to progress.

The first thing people notice about me

I'm very self-sufficient, I have a great capacity for work, and I get the job done.

The last book I read and enjoyed

Backyard Giants - about real people and their quest to grow giant, world-record-breaking pumpkins. I loved the passion and resiliency each person reflected in the book has for this hobby - a hobby I never knew existed - even when the weather didn't cooperate, or the seeds didn't grow, or the deer ate the small pumpkins, or the giant pumpkin ended up cracking the week before the weigh-off. Another example of ordinary people doing extraordinary things.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My family and extended family
  2. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints
  3. The beauty of each day

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I am a very loyal friend.

Friends Describe me as

Dependable, Easy-Going, Generous, Hard Working

A little more about me

I am an eternal optimist and believe the best about people. I believe marriage is for the eternities, and want to find a companion and best friend with whom to share the journey (and all the journey entails).
