The one thing I am passionate about...
I'm a pretty passionate person, so naming just one thing is difficult. For the past 3 years Ive been apart of a church plant and discovering what it means to BE church, not just DO church, has been on my mind a lot. Im passionate about serving the children & families at my school. Im very interested in social justice and discovering what Jesus calls us to be responsible for. Im always thinking of the next big trip I can take during my summer break. Im also passionate about healthy relationships and true community. I love being outdoors, riding my bike to work, thrift store shopping, cheap movie theaters, homemade pizza, and Coke =)
I typically spend my leisure time
I enjoy hiking, catching a $3 movie, playing disc golf, hanging out at a bookstore or a coffee shop, playing card games, eating out at a local restaurant, getting a bunch of people together to do whatever sounds fun, camping or taking trips to one of the many wonderful places in the NW, snowboarding (beginner), working on one of my many projects, shopping at Value Village's 50% off sale, riding my bike to work a few days a week, watching obscure movies. I love theater, art galleries, and live music.
The most influential person in my life has been
There is no one quality that stands out above all others. I just want to be with someone who is authentic, comfortable in his own skin, treats me with respect, and makes me laugh.
The first thing people notice about me
It really depends on the circumstances.
The last book I read and enjoyed
I aspire to be an avid reader. I have about 15 books on my night stand. Most of them I have yet to read. I'm currently reading Hungry Planet. It is a picture essay depicting how people eat around the world. It is fascinating. I recently finished the Sex God by Rob Bell. It gave me a lot to think about.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- I'm constantly reminded of how blessed I am to have an incredible family and a unique family experience.
- My current church community.
- I love being a school counselor.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
I love to laugh =)

A little more about me
I love e-mailing and all, but it is a really horrible way to get to know someone. I'd much rather have a conversation over coffee.
