More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am a bit of a workaholic and very passionate about my career. I spend extra time doing school-related activities. I do a lot of reading both for enjoyment and for work. I am intellectually curious and somewhat of a news junkie. CNN is always on and I read the newspaper and TIME and Newsweek. I also like sports (to watch, not to play), basketball and tennis especially.

I typically spend my leisure time

I like to go out to eat--I love all different types of foods and I don't much like to cook at home. I usually travel to Europe once a year and I have summers off so I like to go to the beach or the pool. When I have free time which is not a lot, my nose is typically stuck in a book.

The most influential person in my life has been

I don't know exactly what it is that make two people click, but when you find it you know it.

The first thing people notice about me

Probably that I don't sweat the small stuff.

The last book I read and enjoyed

A Thousand Splendid Suns by the guy that wrote Kite Runner. Great book--I'm sure it will be a classic and I like classics. Stephen King is my guilty pleasure, though.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. career that I love
  2. supportive family and friends
  3. my dogs (also my neice and nephew--sort of sad that my dogs are on the same level)

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I think people see me, at least as much as I want them to.

Friends Describe me as

Easy-Going, Happy, Intelligent, Optimistic

A little more about me

I may be an English teacher, but I cannot spell. I realize that this is quite a paradox, one that the students make fun of all the time.
