The one thing I am passionate about...
I am passionate about my work. Working with middle school children and seeing their every day struggles with academics as well as life, makes you want to get involved with their life. Children face issues today that I never faced growing up, and I consider it an honor to guide them when other avenues and resources have turned their backs on them. How can you not be passionate about that? At the end of the day, knowing that you made a difference in the life of a child is all the payment that you need to help get you through to the next day. Our schools have changed, but with great teachers, our students will continue to change the world.
I typically spend my leisure time
In my spare time, I enjoy reading for pleasure. At the moment, Ted Dekker is my author of choice. When I watch TV, LOST is the show I find myself returning to each season. Of course, a good NASCAR race is always fun! During the summer, I enjoy lounging by the pool and soaking up the sun. This summer, I have had the pleasure of traveling. I have visited France, Italy, and Costa Rica. I have found that I enjoy traveling and exploring different cultures! I also enjoy the simple things in life, such as dinner at home followed up by curling up on the couch with a good movie.
The most influential person in my life has been
The most important quality that I am seeking in another person is integrity. I would simply enjoy meeting someone who is honest and looking for the same things in life that I am. To have a Godly character not just on the outside, but on the inside as well. To simply catch his eye and notice that hmmm...this one is different. That would be nice.
The first thing people notice about me
My great personality? I really never know how to answer these questions! I would have to say my laugh. I usually am always laughing at something. You have to appreciate the fact that God has a great sense of humor...I mean come on...He created us, right?! Anyway, most people notice my laugh and my smile.
The last book I read and enjoyed
I have read every book that Ted Dekker has written. The last one that I finished was "ADAM". Dekker combines mystery with romance and spiritual truths. If you like suspense, you will love his work! I usually end up reading late into the night or not finishing my school work (sorry kids!) because I just have to finish one more chapter to see what happens! He always reveals a side of God that you are surprised to see come out either in the villian or the hero. I love a book that can get you thinking about love and life!
The three things which I am most thankful for
- I am most thankful for the everyday blessings God gives me that I often overlook.
- I am thankful for the wonderful supportive parents I have.
- I am thankful for the ability to use my talents where God would have me.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
Sometimes when I first meet new people, I am not as outgoing as I should be, so I wish that people would notice that I am not really as quiet as I first appear to be. It just takes me a little longer to actually participate in a conversation where I actually make sense rather than babble because I am soooo nervous!
Friends Describe me as

A little more about me
My favorite color is green. I enjoy eating out, watching movies, attending the theater, watching/going to sporting events, and traveling. This summer I have been bitten by the travel bug and would love to travel more in the future! I would love to find someone who also enjoys these things, but who would also compliment me and add some adventure and excitement into my life!
