The one thing I am passionate about...
I am passionate about my family and helping others, especially children. Sometime in the future I think I would like to go on medical mission trips where I am needed most. I would prefer going with a church-sponsored group. I am not too adventurous by myself but would love to find someone who has a similar passion or desire. Hopefully, God will open those doors for me so that I can serve Him.
I typically spend my leisure time
I enjoy reading Christian books and novels. I love to travel and will look forward to doing more when I retire, but am very content to stay home, too. I love spending time with my family, especially my grandsons. When all is said and done, there is nothing more important than family & faith. I also love to listen to Christian music, watch movies, walk, babysit my grandsons, take short day-trips, cruise, play with my laptop, garage sales :) and be with friends and sisters.
The most influential person in my life has been
Someone with strong character and morals who is not ashamed to speak of their faith openly or sing out loud. I need a partner who is comfortable in their own skin and emotionally healthy. I realize that each of us have had different journeys to this point, and will certainly bring those experiences to the relationship. Hopefully, discussion and a willingness to accept those differences and strengths will make any relationship grow.
The first thing people notice about me
Sense of humor. I cannot imagine a day without laughter. One of my favorite TV programs is "America's Funniest Videos". I find that even by myself, laughter is contagious and can even make a sad heart, happy.
The last book I read and enjoyed
I enjoyed reading a book by Randy Alcorn entitled "Deadline". It was a novel about 3 friends who chose different paths, their families, and the spiritual warfare surrounding them. I love Karen Kingsbury novels, too. Her books are quick reads with a moral message. Also, Max Lucado's books are some of my favorites.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- God's grace.
- My family.
- God's promises.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
Beyond my blue eyes, I wish they would notice that I am interested in who they are and that I am a good listener. I would hope that they would want to get to know me better before jumping to any conclusion.

A little more about me
I have been through some painful storms in my life. God saw me through them all and still remains in control of my life today.
