The one thing I am passionate about...
I am most passionate about my spiritual path, and trying to help people find happiness. The easiest way to do this is by making people laugh, which I love to do on a daily basis. I am always trying to lift people and situations up to a higher level. I spend a lot of my time thinking about the Universe and reality in both scientific and shamanic terms. I love nature and am often caught staring at a leaf or at the sky in awe. I sense the unity yet diversity of everyone and everything. To me reality is a great tree and the limitations of our five senses fool us into thinking we are each leaves, when the truth is that we are truly one.
I typically spend my leisure time
With friends, I enjoy hanging out and having interesting conversations, laughing up a storm, and generally having a goofy time.By myself, I like to read, belly dance, sing songs to myself, cook exciting food, and play games. Belly dancing is something I enjoy artistically and it also keeps me in shape. I don't dance professionally, just for me. I also play the zils (hand cymbals) while dancing which can be challenging.I sort of collect cookbooks and I love cooking exciting and delicious food.
The most influential person in my life has been
Kindness and compassion towards others, with the understanding that Life is about learning, gaining wisdom, and helping others along this path. I am looking for someone who is a free thinker and does not let our modern media driven society tell him what to like, what to desire, and what to think about.
The first thing people notice about me
People notice my kindness and openness towards others regardless of their appearance and whether I know them or not. They also notice that I love to make other people laugh.
The last book I read and enjoyed
The Cosmic Serpent by Jeremy Narby. It was about an anthropologist who goes to the Amazon and takes Ayahuasca with the shamans. He posits that shamans are able to communicate directly with DNA which is actually has consciousness. I liked this book because of the way he tried to match scientific thinking with the shaman's artistic and creative way of thinking.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- My health.
- My intensely spiritual nature and closeness with divinity.
- The wisdom I have gained from life which gives me humility and great compassion for others.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
I wish they knew that I operate from a shamanic standpoint, meaning that I feel the Universe as conscious and alive. I see everyone as being drops of consciousness out of the great consciousness a lot of people call God, and I am very empathic.
Friends Describe me as
