More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Being a follower of Jesus is abundant life, life to the fullest. That said, I love the diversity and beauty of San Francisco. I also love cross-cultural communication, which includes teaching ESL here in the US and hopefully living abroad in the future.

I typically spend my leisure time

I enjoy writing, listening to music, spending time with friends, walking, singing, learning about other cultures, and cardio kickboxing.

The most influential person in my life has been

Love for God and for other people. I also hope to live abroad in the future, teaching, serving, and perhaps church planting. I've lived in Asia and Latin America, and I love learning languages and experiencing new cultures. I would love to be with someone who shares my passion for other cultures and who is willing to live abroad, as God directs.

The first thing people notice about me

I am warm, open, and friendly.

The last book I read and enjoyed

Mike Bickle's book, The Seven Longings of the Human Heart--it really shows how God puts longings in us that He alone can fill. I liked it because it shows how pursuing God brings the greatest fulfillment. Also, I recently took a class called Perspectives. There's a huge textbook, covering topics from church history to contextualization. I learned a lot.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. my relationship with God and how He gives me abundant life
  2. the joy of learning about God, life, redemption, other cultures, and other people--diversity of color, cultures, people, and ideas
  3. my lifelong friends and a great family

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

that I like to have fun. I smile a lot, but I really love to laugh.
