More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Here are my top five categories -- 1) Music -- U2, Coldplay, Billy Joel, Foo Fighters, Van Morrison, Bruce Springsteen, Genesis (please go easy on me), Handel (for my classical side) and Dave Matthews Band, 2) Food -- French, 3) Getting Outdoors -- Hiking, biking, skiing, soccer, tennis, and swimming/snorkeling, 4) Travel -- France, Spain, Ireland and the UK, and 5) Friends. Wow, I still have about 300 characters remaining. ;)

I typically spend my leisure time

Most of my leisure time is spent with friends being active in the world around us. This means that I can often be found on a bike, skiing, playing tennis, catching dinner and a movie, enjoying the arts, dining at a new restaurant or traveling the globe for pleasure. Proof of all this is how I spent last September. Two weeks were spent in Croatia biking, hiking and sea kayaking. The last part of the month was spent in Prague (catching a Colplay show), Vienna (catching Madonna not my favorite but she was in Vienna after all) and then Paris (to ride a motor scooter around the city and also to catch some other concerts).

The most influential person in my life has been

Emotional well-being is without a doubt the most important quality that I seek in another person.

The first thing people notice about me

My composure and ability to interact with people from all walks of life.

The last book I read and enjoyed

Born Standing Up -- The book is the autobiography of Steve Martin chronicling his years as a stand-up comedian. I enjoyed the honesty in the book. Plus, the vivid descriptions that documented Steve Martin's ability to develop strong personal connections despite a less than ideal home life growing up really moved me.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. Close friends.
  2. Vacations.
  3. Being able to help others via my profession.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I wish people would notice my interest in deep communication earlier on in relationships. Yes, I can be a bit of a joker from time to time (tell me, who does not like a laugh?). But, I really enjoy participating in deep and feeling focused conversations when the mood is right.

Friends Describe me as

Caring, Funny, Passionate, Romantic
