The one thing I am passionate about...
I feel that each day is a gift that I try not to take for granted. I take delight in the smell of a rose, a full moon, the sound and smell of the ocean, enjoying a good book, the way I feel after a great work out. Sharing a great meal and a nice glass of wine and interesting conversation. I am aware of the delicate balance of the world we live in, and I am passionate about taking care of our environment and the people and animals that are unable to advocate for themselves. I am dedicated to being my best self, I am passionate about living life fully, and having someone special to share precious moments with.
I typically spend my leisure time
I enjoy exercising, going to the beach, swimming, hiking, reading, dining out, good wine, spending time with friends, attending a concert, theater or visiting a museum. I have fun with photography, especially when traveling. I like to make jewelry for fun.
The most influential person in my life has been
Honesty. Integrity. Depth. Passion. Healthy (mentally and physically). Someone I have fun with. Intelligent. Strong but not dominant. A man who knows who he is. Affectionate. Knows how to and is not afraid to love deeply. A person who is committed to being his best self. Someone who is happy and enjoys life. Loyalty. Someone who is not afraid to address difficult situations. Protective, but not controlling. I want my partner-just by being with him-to inspire me to be my best self, and for me to affect him in the same way.
The first thing people notice about me
Warmth and sincerity.
The last book I read and enjoyed
The last book I read was "Mao's Last Dancer" By Li Cunxin. I was preparing for a trip to China and wanted to learn a little more about the culture and history. Other books I have recently enjoyed: "Blink" (The scientific explanation of intuition was interesting); "The Samurai's Garden"; "The Love Remains"(based on the true story of a Hawaiian princess-romantic and historical); "The Power of Intention", by Wayne Dyer; I am now reading "Change Your Thoughts-Change Your Life, Living the Wisdom of the Tao", also by Wayne Dyer. I enjoyed all three of the books I read by Dan Millman(Peacefull Warrior).
The three things which I am most thankful for
- My health, my family and friends
- The beauty and mystery of nature
- Work that is meaningful to me
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
Taking the time to "get to know" is fine with me ...
