More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Having fun. I'm more Manhattan than SoCal, but I'm energetic and love the lifestyle in SoCal, my lifelong home. I'm into fitness and health. I'm passionate about that.

I typically spend my leisure time

Golf (Tiger wanna-be). Cycling/spinning (Lance-a-holic). Laughing and quoting lines from all-time funny movies. Reading (non-fiction). Good food and wine (from a box). Documentaries. Symphony (Zzzzzz...). NPR. Monty Python. Writing. Living. (Hint: my newfound love is opera). All those stick and ball sports...running, hiking, all the eco-friendly outdoor stuff...talking politics, culture, coffee house faire...sipping Yerba Matte at the corner cafe while watching the world go by.

The most influential person in my life has been

Most important is honesty. Honesty, and a regard for others (okay, that's two things)...OH, and a passion to live life to the fullest (yes, that's three now). ...And an almost fanatical devotion to being the best one can be.

The first thing people notice about me

First, confidence. A little about me: sixth grade, student body president; 9th grade, editor of the school yearbook; high school, captain of the golf team; college, sales director of the radio station. That's me in a nutshell. But I do have a sense of humor.

The last book I read and enjoyed

"A Walk in the Woods" by Bill Bryson, about his hike over the length of the Appalachian Trail. I liked his vivid descriptions of the Smokey Mountains, and his experiences camping along the way. Also, "The Diary of Mary Boykin Chestnut" (1861-1865) about her experiences living within the Confederacy during the Civil War and being very close to the men that were in power. I have a soft spot in my heart for the South.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. a new day as a fresh opportunity
  2. Our new President of the United States
  3. this great country we live in

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

Sincerity. (No, really).

Friends Describe me as

Funny, Physically Fit, Romantic, Spontaneous

A little more about me

I can't believe you're reading this far down, but if you want to know...I have an active imagination, and one time I thought I could do stand-up. My boss found me at my desk the next day, a little deflated, but wiser.
