More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am passionate about really learning how to live every minute as if it were my last. To really learn to enjoy things in the moment. If there's nothing to worry about, don't worry about it. I want to learn to focus more on the moment and not project ahead so much. I think that is the key to living a much less stressful life, but it has been the most difficult thing for me to achieve.

I typically spend my leisure time

Reading, exercising, craft projects like beading or knitting, meditation, hanging out with my friends.

The most influential person in my life has been

I am looking for empathy and understanding in another person. The ability to empathize and have compassion for another person is hard to find but extremely valuable.

The first thing people notice about me

My intelligence.

The last book I read and enjoyed

"water for Elephants." It is a novel about a boy that loses his parents and runs away to join the circus during the Depression. It's a fascinating glimpse into the "Golden Age" of circuses, and what is was like to be a part of one in its heydey. I didn't really know anything about circuses before reading this book and it was great! I'm reading a great book now called Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follet. It's a wonderful, really LONG novel about the Middle Ages, architecture, Euro history, art history; hard to describe but it has all the things in it I love!

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My friends who have gotten me through so much
  2. My health which has never let me down
  3. My positive outlook on life which has made it possible for me to weather some tough storms

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

My sense of humor.

Friends Describe me as

Caring, Intelligent, Physically Fit, Thoughtful

A little more about me

I am open to all kinds of new experiences. I love to try new things and do things I've never done, go places I've never gone, it doesn't matter how far. Life is a series of new experiences, and I want to have as many as possible.
