The one thing I am passionate about...
Oh, my word! It would be easier to say what I'm NOT passionate about. World issues such as hunger and health, global warming and the environment, endangered wildlife, homeless and hungry right here in the USA, love, romance, poetry, art, music, and last but not least historical reenactment. I'm very active in the Society for Creative Anachronism, an international living history group reenacting the Middle Ages. Oh my, this still just scratches the surface.
I typically spend my leisure time
I enjoy reading, mostly fantasy and science fiction. In the last few months I have collected a nice selection of books on Druidism and Shamanism but I've so little time to read that they are still just sitting on the shelf. I'm determined to give myself more time in the future. I enjoy designing and making jewelry (simple beading at the moment), and I love historical reenactment. Getting away for camping trips, "getting back to nature" every chance I get. Communication via the internet. I have "Friends" all over the world.
The most influential person in my life has been
I'm seeking an empathy between the two of us...an emotional compatibility that will at times make words unnecessary. I am a creature of passion and I seek someone who can meet and understand that passion.
The first thing people notice about me
That would be my "presence". I've been told that people feel me walk into a room, they don't even need to see me to know that I'm there.
The last book I read and enjoyed
Fool's Moon, a "Harry Dresden" novel by Jim Butcher. The story line runs that Harry Dresden, New York City's only Wizard for Hire, is helping police investigators in a series of grisly murders throughout the city...and the murders appear to be committed by a werewolf. All of the Harry Dresden stories are very tightly written mysteries as well as being of an occult nature.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- A caring and loving family
- A small but closely knit circle of loving and loyal friends
- My intelligence, warmth, and warped sense of humor
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
Although I am a very strong person who is usually the first to crack a joke, my feelings can be bruised by a thoughtless word from a friend or loved one.
Friends Describe me as
Good listener, Intelligent, Loyal, Romantic
A little more about me
It doesn't matter to me what sort of car you drive, if you wear Armani suits or Levis, if you look like a model or if you've got some extra baggage, or if your bank account has three digits or six. It's the person I'm interested in...all the rest is just stuff that can change with the blink of an eye. I'm seeking someone who is open to the wonders of the world. *Last minute update* I have my location listed as Albuquerque and that was to be as of February. Now I'm having issues selling the condo and may have to switch gears and set it up to rent it until the housing market firms up a bit. The move may take just a bit l
