More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am most passionate about acquiring difficult knowledge and making that knowledge available to others more easily (i.e., religion, literature, relationships, communication, introspection). It's not the "knowledge" itself which matters, per se - it's the relationships we have with and through these ways of thinking that I am truly invested in.

I typically spend my leisure time

I like playing games, going out for coffee, reading, and talking. I also like that you can do most of these things at the same time!

The most influential person in my life has been

I am looking for someone who knows how to trust and who invites trust from me.

The first thing people notice about me

People often notice my sense of humor. I find daily life incredibly humorous and enjoy sharing my observations with others - even if they are total strangers.

The last book I read and enjoyed

I am pursuing an MA in Literature, so I read all the time. ONE of my favorite recent reads is Dubliners by James Joyce. The man knew how to empathetically describe the paralytic despair which most humans face every day. What makes this collection about social paralysis most fascinating is that the reader can act in a way the characters can't. I love it. PS: don't waste one of your five "first questions" on how much I read. I'll tell you know I read ~500 pages a week. That translates to around 50 books a year.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My Strong Relationships with Friends and Family
  2. Stimulating Conversations
  3. God's Love

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

Most people do not recognize my quiet side. I am a gregarious man, but I spend several hours a day reading, writing, meditating, and introspecting. Because I am initially extroverted, people may (understandably) suspect I do not listen well. But my family and close friends know better.

Friends Describe me as

Affectionate, Articulate, Dependable, Intelligent

A little more about me

I am complicated and difficult to understand. But I am also worth knowing.
