More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

My daughter is the love of my life, and I cherish our time together! Besides her, I am very passionate about foreign languages and cultures (mainly French and Spanish), travel, music, and ethnic food. I also LOVE dancing, especially Latin and disco.

I typically spend my leisure time

I absolutely love spending quality time with my daughter, whether it's going to the park, rollerskating, bowling, etc., or just reading and snuggling together in bed. When I'm not with her, I love to go out dancing (especially Latin and disco) with my friends. A bonus would be to dance to live music! I also enjoy running to keep in shape.

The most influential person in my life has been

It's so hard to pick only one - intelligent, cultured, articulate, funny, selfless, patient, and modest are just a few of the qualities that are important to me. The man in my life must also be willing to accept my daughter and her importance to me without jealousy or resentment.

The first thing people notice about me

I would have to say that most people think that I'm very polite and sweet.

The last book I read and enjoyed

It sounds silly, but I really enjoyed The World According to Mister Rogers - it was full of simple but important life lessons to remember. Before that I read the Lord of the Rings trilogy and absolutely loved it - what a wonderful escape from reality!

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. Without a doubt, my daughter! She's the most important thing in the world to me.
  2. My parents and my brother have ALWAYS been there for me; I can't imagine what I'd do without them!
  3. My job is incredibly rewarding, and my boss is one of my best friends!

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

Although I may seem somewhat reserved and serious, I definitely have a fun and crazy side!

A little more about me

I have to admit that I'm kind of a nerd when it comes to spelling and grammar; I guess it's the English teacher in me! I find it annoying when people speak and write incorrectly and sometimes have the urge to correct them.
