More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

My relationships with my friends, my family, and my city.

I typically spend my leisure time

Consuming as much culture as I can, haunting the Greenmarket, cooking up a storm, reading voraciously, making and drinking cocktails, spending lots of time in Central Park (alternately running and lounging), wandering the city, and traveling whenever the opportunity arises.

The most influential person in my life has been

A sense of humor that is both snarky and warm is absolutely key. I'm also looking for someone who likes to *do* stuff - not necessarily every single day, but we live in the most exciting city on earth, and I like to take full advantage of that fact. Theater, museums, jaunts to the end of the subway line, (or further afield), movies, restaurants, Greenmarkets... I'm looking for someone who wants to explore all of those as much as I do.

The first thing people notice about me

My laugh - I'm told it's infectious.

The last book I read and enjoyed

Most recently I've been bowled over by Kate Atkinson's timeline gymnastics in Life After Life, gobsmacked by Chimamanda Ngochi Adichie's gorgeous prose in Americanah, and horrified to recognize a perfectly rendered Brooklyn dating scene in Adelle Waldman's The Love Affairs of Nathaniel P.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My warm, loving, wickedly funny friends.
  2. Being able to live a great life in my favorite city.
  3. My rich, diverse education.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I've heard I often come off as aloof or intimidating at first brush, which is funny, because friends consider me warm and down-to-earth.

Friends Describe me as

Funny, Happy, Intelligent, Warm
