The one thing I am passionate about...
I am passionate about raising my son to be a good, kind man; spending quality time with family and friends; trying new things; visiting new places; historic home restoration (mine was built in 1898); the Saints and LSU football; and learning to become the best person I can be.
I typically spend my leisure time
I enjoy going to the beach, reading a great book, relaxing with a glass of wine, or sharing margaritas and Tex-Mex with a bunch of friends (with or without our kids). I'm just as happy being out on the town as I am snuggled up on the couch. It's all about the people I'm with.
The most influential person in my life has been
Integrity. I was going to say "honesty," or "trust." But honesty is too black-and-white: we all lie; but, you have to have integrity to know when to lie, and why. And "trust" only comes to those with integrity. So, in the end, it is integrity: the intelligence to know what "honesty" and "trust" are, how to earn them, and when not to abuse them.
The first thing people notice about me
Okay, I had to phone-a-friend on this one. After consulting with others, the consensus is that I laugh a lot. Not like a fool, but in an infectious, noticeable way. Or so I'm told.
The last book I read and enjoyed
Water for Elephants
The three things which I am most thankful for
- My son
- My family and friends
- A good job, a nice place to live, and the ability to do things I enjoy and bring me happiness
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
Behind all the fun and laughter, there's a detailed, well-organized, well-constructed plan. No doubt the plan includes plenty of good times; but don't think I haven't thought things through. The details don't go unnoticed.
Friends Describe me as
Funny, Good listener, Intelligent, Kind
A little more about me
This exercise in self-promotion is totally awkward!
