More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

PASSIONS: Growing my spirit and being a positive influence on others as they do the same. I crave depth coupled with integrity.

I typically spend my leisure time

1. Composing and recording original music in my home studio. (I play guitar, keyboards & drums.)2. "Deep Listening" to powerful, moving music.3. When in the right mood, I also like to write. I am generally quite expressive.4. Watching "House" marathons on the USA channel. (Although WAY more thoughtful, loving and compassionate, I think there's maybe a little bit of House in me. If you know the character, that will make almost no sense whatsoever. Yet there's some truth in there somewhere.)

The most influential person in my life has been

Having an intrinsic curiosity about and a deep desire to continuously grow relative to truth, self-awareness, integrity, depth, expressiveness, spirituality, a love of self and others, being non-judgmental, and having a sense of her own ENERGY and POWER. There's also this intangible "chemistry" thing that is impossible to verbalize adequately. I think we're naturally attracted -physically, emotionally, sexually and spiritually - to people who have something to offer us, growth-wise. In the end, I think I need someone who "gets" who I am -- someone who's already deep in my DNA ... and I'm already deep in hers.

The first thing people notice about me

I tune in to people pretty readily. (Actually, I do that for a living.) Most people think I'm a pretty nice, respectful, down-to-earth guy. However, in my personal life, superficiality and lack of self-awareness in others leaves me uninterested while the opposite will usually get my attention. Those so attuned will likely notice a powerful energy behind a balanced, humble confidence. (Seriously.)

The last book I read and enjoyed

I am most attracted to books dealing with spiritual information and "interdimensional" healing (e.g., Eric Pearl's "The Reconnection.") If it's combined with science and relates to my own experience, then all the better (e.g., The Field by Lynne McTaggart.) But I'm fairly discriminating. The information must have integrity. I eat that stuff up. You can also give me a storyline with a really smart, strong metaphor and I'll be really happy. (Or give me a totally trashy romance novel and I'll probably like it ... but you'll never get me to admit it. :)

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. Seeing purpose in life events -- even difficult ones -- as reflecting opportunities to grow.
  2. Having positive, love-based things come back to me in life as I share my light and being simply amazed by how we can access unseen mechanisms that are in tune with our thoughts, feelings, and desires.
  3. The unconditional love of friends and family.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I am an expansive, integrative thinker, do not allow fear to rule me (much), and, though usually quite self-confident (there IS this "alpha" quality to me), am very open to being wrong. (My ego and I understand one another pretty well.) My eHarmony Personality Profile is basically pretty accurate, I think.

A little more about me

Let's see, I'm a medical psychologist, published author, teach medical students, have served as President (or Director) of national and state professional organizations, I serve on a state commission, can be an irritant to the status-quo by speaking out on issues that spark my passion, produced some music CDs and did professional video production on the side for a while ('cause it was creative and FUN...and 'cause I COULD!), I have a vivid imagination, love to create goodness out of thin air, and am a better, more self-aware person now than I have ever been. Oh yeah ... and I've gotten very "intuitive," especially in the last few years.
