More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

My Lord Jesus (my best friend), my children and grandchildren, my brothers and my friends. Although my children and grandchildren live in other states, I spend as much time as possible with them. I call, write, and visit (once a year). My church is my family, as I have no family within 700 miles. The small group and Bible study I am in are also very important. God is my refuge and strength, a very present help in time of trouble...and in times that are good.

I typically spend my leisure time

I love to take walks and visit with neighbors. Making new friends at this time is fun. I crochet and listen to music. Christian music is my favorite...instrumental as well as singing. I also like classical and semi-classical music. My favorite TV is the weather channel, except they are so "political" anymore with their "stop global warming", which I do not believe we have the ability to do.I used to enjoy boating, but in the middle of the mid-west there is not much water. However I was recently introduced to sailing and loved it.

The most influential person in my life has been

A sincere relationship in Jesus Christ.

The first thing people notice about me

My voice. I have been told I have a sweet, young sounding voice. I have a happy spirit - smiling and joyful.

The last book I read and enjoyed

"The Case For Christ" by Lee Strobel. Fasinating book about his journey from athiest to faith in Christ. Now reading the companion, "The Case For Faith".

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. The love of God and forgiveness found in Jesus Christ
  2. My family - brothers, children and grandchildren and my friends
  3. A good church with genuine friends and a good job.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I am an encourager.

Friends Describe me as

Caring, Easy-Going, Happy, Sweet
